A Word About Tollers.......

The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is a wonderful dog, however they are challenging dogs. They are not little Golden Retrievers, they can be quite intense. They need a lot of exercise and training to keep their mind and bodies out of trouble! Many require a good amount of attention, if not given the attention they wish, they may resort to tearing up your favorite slippers, garden, etc., in order to get your attention.

The Toller is an excellent obedience, agility and hunting dog. They require fair, gentle, consistent training. They are very smart dogs, but can sometimes display an independent streak if not given direction. Some Tollers have an extremely high energy level. Some Tollers are reserve and slow to warm up to strangers. They each have their own individual personality.

Please feel free to call me with any questions or problems.

Sincerely,
Corinne Beckner
