HoneyRun Kennel is dedicated to the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, the official dog of Nova Scotia. In the early 19th Century, these dogs were developed to "lure" waterfowl. The Toller dances along the shore in full view of the ducks. His playful actions make the ducks curiously defensive, and they swim towards the Toller to keep him in sight. In doing so, the ducks are lured within gunshot range. The Toller will also retrieve ducks from the water.

, the only Toller in history to win FOUR National Specialties - three US Nationals and the Canadian National!
In Sheboygan Wisconson (9/22/06), he won his fourth National Specialty in a row. This makes him the only toller who has ever won an AKC National Specialty,, since he won all of them! His son, Tolkien, also recieved the Judges Award of Merit in WI
Decoy won his 2nd US National Specialty in Oregon on 10/02/05. On 09/03/05, he won the Canadian National Specialty Best of Breed. (See Photo) Decoy won Best of Breed at the 129th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on 02/15/05. (See a Video of Decoy's Judging). He won "Best in Specialty Show" at the 1st National AKC Toller Specialty in Montgomery, Alabama on 10/23/04. This event featured the biggest collection of Tollers in North America. Decoy is the Number One United States Conformation Toller, and for the third year stands at the top toller in breed points, all-breed points and Eukanuba points in the AKC.
